Question 94 clutch noises.

i have some questions about my clutch. It's definitely well worn and grabs real high, but when the car is either stopped or parked, and i press the clutch , it makes a squeak like matress springs make. Also , when i shift, i can hear a metal clank when pressing the gas after shifting gears. It does this when im in a low gear and the rpm's are high, (even though i dont have a tac' on my car). when i accelerate, from no gas, itll clank, and then when letting off the gas to down shift, itll clank. I dont know whether its my clutch(which i hope) or if it's tranny problems. please help. thanks alot

that all means that it's time to replace your clutch, do it before you f#$@k up your flywheel for good, that metal noise you hear is probably the throw out bearing or the pressure plate about to take a shit ( pardon my french), anyway, like nike says " just do it".

thanks man. question for ya, what is a reasonable price for clutch replacement? the estimates are around 400 -500 for part and service. Im wondering if this is too much or if this sounds like a deal.also, if the fly wheel is trashed, does this mean tranny work or time for a new toyota?
