1998 Toyota Corolla

I don't have the owners manual for this car and so i cannot read it for information.

I would like to know how many more miles can you go with the car after the first gas tank low fuel light indicator comes on?

And also. Now when i press the ac buttom to have some air conditioning in my car, it does not work anymore. What i mean is this. The ac buttom can be pressed in and it lights up like it would be activated but what happens is that it keeps flicking on and off the light. It does not stay continuously on. And all i get is hot air instead of cold air. What is the problem? Thanks a lot.

How far you can go depends on how you drive the car.

I think for my Camry, there is 1/6-1/4 tank remaining when the light illuminates. Probably your car is similar.

The manual won't have that kind of information in it.. but I think you have about 4liters (less than a galon) left when the fuel light goes on full blast and doesn't turn off, so basically just enough to get your ass to a gas station . Sometimes the light will go on and off but its because of the liquid jumping back and forth.

The AC compressor will not stay engaged if you are low on refrigerant. You probably have a leak somewhere in the system. The AC repair shops will inject a dye with the refrigerant and use a special light to check for the leak.

The alternative is rolling the window down and driving faster for AC
