Just be advised that this tape-on type of an application creates problems in some enviroments. If one lives in an area that gets lots of rain(ie, the NW), moisture collects over time around the tape and it will lead to premature rusting. Believe me I've seen it lots before. Same with the foam tape that some use for a shim/gasket when installing a canopy, totally leads to moisture retention. That's fine if you live in a hot dry climate, but will eventually lead to rust/corrosion problems in wetter climates.
