84-87 4dr corolla

Hi everybody, I'm kinda new to the forum but I currently own a 01 corolla that Im modding but, I not going to go to far beyond as far as looks goes but I want to mod a car that has aftermarket support and is a corolla and I know the corolla gts and sr5 has aftermarket support but I saw a another corolla right down the street from me and its broken down so I can prob get is real cheap.. but anywaz is was a four door and it was not above 88. Ive looked and I cant find much on it. I can find alot on the gts and sr5, but can someone give me links or just explain to me what this car has stock and what kinda of potential this car has.

Thank you.

ok Ive done a some lookin around and its a 86 corolla deluxe sedan. ok if im correct this is very different the the corolla gts which is a FR (the ae82 being a FF) so I will not be able to use an engin from gts because I will need a matchin tranny. So is the SR5 FF or FR? I want to know if theirs an performance engine that will bolt on with out major problems. I was HOPING that the ae82 and ae86 would be a common platform but I guess i was wrong. I need to get rid of this engine and I want to supercharge it. Can anyone suggest anything as far an engine goes that will give me a horsepower gain and will bolt on with out problems and a compatible supercharger with the engine.

the SR5 uses the same motor but is RWD, i own an 86 rolla sedan, really your only hope is to find an FX16 GTS and use that engine and so forth, because it is FWD ive never done it, but that makes the most sense. The FX is basicly the same chassis but a hatchback, neat little car if you ask me.
