So you are able to TIG weld the GroundControl Aluminum threaded adjustment collar onto the cast iron or steel strut housing?
Are these basic procedures to make the coli overs?
1) you cut off and grind down the old spring lower support
2) Cutoff the extra length then weld on the threaded collar
3) Assemble the Coil over and lock the spring support collar.
Although in the ground control application guide it does not say anything
about cutting and grinding the old strut housing.

None of these notes in there?
NOTES:
A) some shocks/struts require grinding/machining to fit coil-over hardware
B) removal of stock spring seat and welding required
C) removal of stock spring seat and welding optional for added tire clearance and range of adjustment
D) trimming of stock spring seat allows added range of adjustment
E) removal of stock spring seat required
thanks

price is $350 obo for a shortened, welded and finished strut casing. i ain't making f**k all off of these as the gas and electricity for tig welding costs well over $120....i'm just doing it for a little pocket change and to share my enthusiasm!
