USA 93 corolla tranny swap question any help is much appreciated

I currently have a 1993 toyota corolla with a 7A-FE 1.8 automatic that my sister beat to death, that has become my project. I would like to change it to a stick shift and anything that anyone can tell me would be GREAT. My main questions right know are, does anyone know if I have to change the ecu and if so does the different ecu need a different wiring harness or can I reuse the original one? Also, does anyone know of a different tranny I can use I want to us a 6 speed with an lsd, but a 5 speed will be better than the auto I got. Also any info on possible drive shaft modifications would be much appreciated. If anyone knows of any websites that can be of any help that would also be greatly appreciated. THANX

You don't need the engine harness, you don't need the ECU. You need the clutch pedal assembly, clutch master cylinder, and clutch lines. You also need the 5-speed brake pedal. Then you need the shifter assembly, boot, knob, and cables. Of course you need the tranny, clutch kit, and don't forget a flywheel. When you get the tranny, make sure the slave cylinder is still attached.

You can use the 6 speed with LSD from a 4AGE 20v blacktop. They are hard to find, but if you head over to www.club4ag.com you can sometimes find one from someone that is putting the engine into an AE86 (since they can't use the tranny).

On the 6 speed with the LSD from a 20 valve 4age i was wondering if anyone knows if the hardware (flywheel, clutch, axles, master-slave cylinder) from the original manuel 7afe tranny will work and if i can use the original manuel trannsmission ecu will still work(id rather not have the check engine light on and i read that changing the ecu is the only way to accomplish this). Also which car did the 20 valve motor come from? Thanx for any help anyone can offer.
