1981 Corolla Blows fuses when lights turned on

Hi, my 81 corolla blows fuses to the ac, lights and turn signals, especially when headlights are turned on. prior to blowing both turn signal indicators are illuminated on the dash and left side indicators stay on. Any suggestions. I hate to pay 87.00/hr for the dealer and I cant find a mechanic who is willing to look into this problem!

You have a short somewhere. If its shorting all those circuits, it might be some wire common to all of them. Look around for burned wires, maybe the wires got melted and are in contact with each other. Did you lift the car recently? Maybe you accidentally pinched wires together. There are many things that can cause short circuits. Good luck.
