Question '90 Corolla 3A -> 5/6M

Ill make a very long story short.
Im too broke to get a new car and my AE91 is driving pretty well so I guess it wouldnt be so bad to drive it for a couple more years until Im out of college.

Anywho, if Im gonna hang onto it, Ive gotta at least do something to make it a bit of fun. Specifically, I've gotta rip the slushbox out and get a proper tranny in there.
I think the tranny code for the 5M out of the 91 is C-52, but Im not sure, cuz Ive never asked.

I was also wondering if it is possible to get the 6M from the AE111 to mate up with my 4A-FE.
That would be sick

Also... if I want to do a full engine swap to a 4A GE 16v or 20v, what would be neccesary?
I know that there are AE92s running around with 4A-GE20s and I was hoping it would be possible to do the same for my AE91.

So to sum up I would like to do one of the following and would like you guys' expert opinion on how much money and work is involved in doing so =)

1) Mate a 5 speed Manual (C-52?) to my existing 4A-FE, or
2) Mate a 6M from an AE111 to my 4A-FE, or
3) Swap my 4A-FE out for a 4A-GE 16v or 20v complete with a 5/6M.

Thanks for any info you guys can give me =)

The 6spd 20V transmission requires the 20V ECU to run properly as far as I know. I think there's some people that have got it working but with a 20V ECU attached to it.

You're better off going with a 20V C56 5spd manual instead of the C52, that's what I'm doing, getting a C56 put in on my car as my Synchros are toast on 5th gear.. plus I picked up for cheap, basically $100 CDN. (not US )

Thanks for the info =)

"C56 5spd manual instead of the C52"

Why?
Are the ratios shorter?

Will the 56 mate up to my 4A-FE?
Im assunming a tranny from one 4A will fit another 4A since its all the same block. Am I right?
