need help purchasing a new corolla.

hey guys i posted this in general dicussion but i'd figure i would probably get more replies here...


when is the best time to buy a new corolla im trying to get in on a 05 model? when are the 06 models coming out? should i buy right before 06's are released? or right when they release it? im either getting the CE or the S model.

i havent done much research are there any known problems with this generation? how much did you guys pay for your corolla? im hoping to get them down some.. thanks all

might want to check some more posts before you plunk down your $$ for a Corolla. the O5 has some starting problems when engine is warm.

I've heard through the grapevine that the '06 is already in production. I don't know how the industry works there - but here as soon as the new year badge comes out, they practically give away the older badged ones and you end up getting really good deals. Might be worth waiting a little bit.

exactly, im trying to wait just before 06's come out so i can go to the dealers and talk it down and buy.. i was wondering when new ones come out? sometime in august? when?

The new models usually come out about September-October in Oz. They may be August-September there. Like i said i dont know much about the US car market.

And to be honest, if they consider the warm-start issue for real, I'm already reading rumors about a fix or official TSB coming and who's to say the '06 wouldn't have the same prob and await the same fix??
