Hi can anyone tell me what a drive belt tensioner does? I took my 2002 Corolla in for a regular 30,000 mile check and the service guy said that my drive belt tensioner was leaking and that it and the drive belt should be replaced. This would cost me an additional $350 though ($200 for the parts and $150 for labor). I opted not to get it replaced just yet because I wanted to do a little research on it before spending that much. Can this part be replaced easily? What is the best repair manual to buy for my car? I appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Thanks!!
