AE92 Dash Lights

Who here has changed the front dash lights on a AE92? Just a couple questions, what lights did you use and where did you get them from?

Do you mean the AC/Heater control area or the intrument panel cluster (speedometer, gas, etc)?

Xenon did.. I always want to do this but I always forget to ask him which bulbs he put it.. he said he used "Xenon bulbs" I'm just not sure who makes them... I'll have to call the infidel up and ask him, he's been trying to sell his car.

(the search button would help you out alot this topic has been mentioned many times) What ive done and has worked well : if your looking to change colors a cheap way to do it is go to wal mart and buy the lil plastic covers for the bulbs (your bulbs are 194's by the way) this will change them Blue/Green/ or Red.. second option i did after getting tired of the blue i purchased LED bulbs on ebay really cheap which gave it a really nice white color

also you can find 194 Led's on ebay very easy

hope this answers your questions

there are 4 park light type bulbs (B3101) and 3 peanut type bulbs (B3100B). i enclosed the part number or code for reference.

check the sockets too. since the car is already 15 years of age, the sockets might have expanded due to the heat the bulbs produce.

yeah that's it.. 194 Xenon peanut bulbs, Ractive makes them.. they'll be a lot brighter and whiter rather than the yellowish tone the regular ones have.

Bob.. if you have to tap the dash for the lights to come on, its because the filaments on the lights have burn off and everytime you bang on the dash the filament probably comes back in contact with the line and lights up. Eventually that won't work anymore and you'll have to get the dash appart to change them.

That's what mine used.. 194 peanut bulbs, and yeah I've used Eurolite 194 Xenons.. they tend to burn out pretty quick for outside lamps.. dunno about inside in the dash, they might last longer inside the car.

Ok so changed the driving lights in my car to xenons super white, also changed my dash lights to the same. One question i have though is the turn signals at the bottom on the fender. Do they have to legally be orange? Or can i swap them to white covers?

If you have an SR5 or GTS AE92 coupe, you can use the clear covers from a 91 Camry ONLY because the 91 was the only year the Camry came with clear signal covers, and they're the same as the AE92. The turn signals legally have to be orange, so you will have to find orange bulbs.
