Some clarification on 4A-LC, please
Hi,
I've owned 2 AE82 Corolla FFs (an '86 and an '87), and have just recently picked up a 1985 Chevy Nova. Here's my question:
Were there any changes in the power output between model years for the AE82? Reason I ask is because I have (or had) a copy of the original Car and Driver article in 1984 when the first Corolla FF came out, and it listed the horsepower as 70. When I owned my 2 AE82s, I was under the impression that they made something like 85 hp. When I now look under the hood of the Nova, I can see no external difference between the engines of the different model years, and the car feels just as anemic as my Corollas did. I'm sure 15 hp would be a noticeable difference.
Thanks in advance!
