Thinking of throwing a intake and exhaust on. Was hoping to get some input as to the direction of which one i should get. For a 89 sr5

One question i have a carb will a intake work on it?

Just dumped the engine. Swap that POS engine out for a 4AGE or 4AGZE. I have an 88 sr5 and I did a 4AGZE swap.

you can actually fit a cone-type filter to your carbed 4AF...

Yup... but then again, the stock airfilter flows plenty enough...
Plus the stock filter arrangement is pretty much a CAI in itself, if you want to add flow to it, theres a box on the right side of the bumper, drill few holes into the plastic box and it should flow even more.
