the engine turns but seems like something else is draining the battery but i cant think of anything that would do that.

Maybe there's no gas going to the motor and the battery is just getting drained from trying to start so much. My dads civic did the same, how much gas does it have in the tank??

Could be the coil. Is there spark coming to the plugs? Take a spark plug from the engine and pull the lead going to the distributor. Put the plug in the the side of the lead that usually goes into the distributor. Then place the spark plug onto one one of the studs at the head of the engine. Then turn the car over. DON'T HOLD THE SPARK PLUG LEAD WHILE TURNING THE CAR OVER. YOU WILL GET A NASTY SHOCK!!

If you don't have spark, change the coil. If you do put the lead back on the distributor and attach spark plug to it's original lead. again place it against a stud and again turn over. (don't get shocked!!). If you have no spark change distributor cap and / or rotor.

Failing this check the petrol supply and the fuel pump or change the brain

have fun
