Try to use a 7AFE throttle instead of the 1500. Port and polish would help too, and use TRD metal head gaskets to increase compression. Using dome-type pistons too would help. Lightened flyweel would give you that sudden rush feel during acceleration. Have your head shaved and do a 3-angle valve job while the head is already out. I'm using NGK plugs and NGK blue hi tension wires if that would help.

This might cost you but you would be able to keep it "looking" stock so when your friends pop the hood, all they would see is a "stock looking" monster beneath the hood.

But if you don't want to go thru all these, do an engine swap. This should solve your "need for speed".

as for the disc brakes, if they are the ones front he levins or the GT model, they should be able to fit directly as long as you get the complete set with cables for the parking brakes.

Well the 7A-FE Throttle wont increase the rate the cylinders fill, it might however decrease performance. Port and polish would be decent, if you have it done by someone who has a flowbench, not some mechanic who guestimates where to take material out. Just removing the sharp portions in the intake tract will help, head needs to be off during this. TRD metal gasket wont increase your compression by much, taking the head off and shaving 1mm out of it will, however if you plan to put high comp. pistons in, I'd just skip the head shaving, because you can change the pistons from below.
Lightened flywheel is also dangerous, I wouldnt want a FWD car flywheel to grenade on me. The metal they make them out is porous, so when you start to lathe material out from it, it can get REALLY fragile. Light weight flywheels from a reputable distributor is an ok option.
Finally, tuning with sparkplugs and wires is just placebo, they have no effect on engine power output, stock wires and denso plugs are fine and bunch of the guys use them in racing applications too.

However if you just want some added power... TURBOCHARGER, cheap efficient and if you put in low compression pistons, you can bump up the boost too

As for brakes... hmmh AE82 and AE92 and AE100 brakes should pretty much be interchangeable, I have AE82 rear disk calipers in my AE92, using AE92 GTi cables and stock AE92 Drum wheelhubs which had about 1cm machined from the diameter, to fit the disk.
