Well, just bought the car today to use to commute back and forth to school this coming September. Just have a bunch of questions before I start to tear into anything...
- Sunroof doesn't work. Apparently he changed the fuse, no change. Is this a common problem w/ a common fix?
- What size tires are stock on it?
- I want to pick up another set of rims for the winter from the junkyard. What other cars can I look at to use?
- When I drive/get in/push down on the rear driver side there's a sound (creaking, rasping? Don't really know how to describe it) produced. Any ideas what it might be?
- Finally, the brakes pulse when hit. I assume the rotors are warped, any other ideas if that's off?
- How do I turn the foglights on? (duhhhhh)
- Are the heater controls supposed to be backlit?
Think that's it for now, but I'm sure I"ll come up with more.
Thanks in advance!!
Shawn

-Yes
The sound seems to be coming from the rear strut/spring. Took it out for a drive last night and the sound was gone so it seems it's intermittent.

I'm curious as to how one rewires the lights so those fake fog lights stay on when you turn the headlights on.
Yes, Canadian model. I didn't realize they were running lights and were supposed to be on most of the time, I guess maybe the bulbs are just burnt out. Could probably just wire the power to a circuit that's constantly getting power (like the dash lights, though I'm not sure if they're supposed to be on all the time like they are)

Ya see i thought the same thing on mine, took it to the shop. They couldnt find anything wrong. Turned out the hinge on the fold down rear seats was lose.

if its got 13s then its supposed to have 175/70-13s, if its got 14s then it's supposed to have 185/60-14s.
Also there's no foglights.. they're Daytime Running lights.
Perfect, actually just found the tag in the glovebox that listed the tire size as well. Looks like I'm a touch small....
Ok I'll bite, how do the daytime running lights work?
I've checked the fuse, it's fine. Replaced it anyways. Took out the bulb and used a multimeter and tried to get some voltage thru the wire with the ign to "ON" with the light stalk in various positions but no dice.
Any ideas?

I seem to remember someone from Ontario on Cardomain who set his lower DTRLs to be on when he had his headlights on. I think he wrote up how he did it as well, but I can't seem to find it again. You're welcome to search there, but I'm sure someone here has a link to a page or the knowledge which they can dispense.
That's probably Xenon the infidel AE92 owner... he has all his lights set to be on at once... its like a rally car.. I'm surprised he's never got a ticket.
