Corolla idling issue after motor mount and CAI install.

OK I am having serious problems and need help. Here is the link to my thread on 9thgencorolla.com.

http://9thgencorolla.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5097

This is my last post on that thread.

I have a 2005 Corolla XRS. OK, so today I start my car. Everything is fine, its idling at 900 RPM's. Drive it about 3 miles, OK, drive it another 3 miles stop at a light, RPM's at 1200. Go on the highway drive about 30 miles, drives fine on the highway. Get off the highway and slow down, car is idling at 2000 RPM's. Turn off the car and start it up again same thing. Stuck in slow stop and go clutch traffic now. Every time I roll more it seems the RPMS creeps up more and more. Soon I am at 4K RPM's idle. Trying to hold the clutch down somewhat so it stays in gear and RPM's go down. Then are start smelling the clutch. This is a disaster. Through all this I get no check engine light since I reset it last night. I am sure on the way home though today I will get one. Any of this sound like anything? OK when I did the motor mount install all I moved were the clutch control arms which the shimmys that secure them to the mount popped out and I had to rig my own. I don't think that would cause this issue though because that just allows the clutch to change gears which I can do perfectly. I also removed the intake for the motor mount install and reinstalled it perfectly. I checked the whole install twice all the hoses are where they should be. I also noticed some small dirt particles in the intake valve before I reinstalled the intake which I blew and wiped out. Could I have messed something up lifting the engine? I lifted the engine maybe an inch. Was that too much? The throttle control lever does not rest on the down position its up like a centimeter or so. Would this cause an issue. It seems to happen when I drive the car a fair distance. Should I take it to the dealer or a local mechanic? If I take it to the dealer I would have to uninstall the intake and I don't know if they will flip about the motor mounts or notice? Should I order the stock shimmy control arm fasteners before I bring it in? If I buy my own scanner would that tell me as a dealer would find out?

Yeah, I reset it. By reprogram do you mean let idle for 15 minutes?

yes. You said you get no check engine light because you reset it, so that means you originally got one?

I am coming to the conclusion that the idle creeps higher when the car gets hotter or you drive longer.

OK, it was the throttle cable. Performed a minor adjustment. Loosened it like a centimeter. Car runs SWEET.
