AE92 Daytime Running Lights Dead?

1990 SR5, DRL's aren't working properly.

I checked and replaced the fuse, still no go.
Is there a relay or something inline that I can check?

I got a Haynes and can't find the running lights anywhere on the wiring diagrams. Any ideas what circuit it's attached to?

we have daytime running lights? are you talking about the marker lights?
I had a problem with those. The contacts tend to rub off and the power stops getting to the white part, some rear window defoger repair stuff will fix that (worked with mine). If the yellow one is out too then it might be the socket, they can get all coroded, you can try cleaning it out, I had to do that to one of mine. If it still doesn't work I would check the wiring or take the sockets and such from the other side to test it on the side that doesn't work. Or maybe a relay or fuse is out lol. Quite the list to check :p

I'm pretty sure that I mean DRL's, they're the same as the white car on the left of this pic:

I noticed the other day that the clear lights right below the headlights aren't' lit either, that might have something to do with it too.

I checked for power at the socket wires but nothing.

"some rear window defoger repair stuff" lol, what the heck is that?

Thanks for the tips, I guess I'll just have to try to trace it back on a warmer day.

All cars after 1990 in Canada have DRL's. Older AE92's won't have DRL's.

Never heard of that stuff before, sounds like a good idea though!

Ren, I got the picture off of the sticky at the top of the Corolla page, show your ae92 or something like that. Sorry to break it to you, but you don't have a stalker

AE92

Well, managed to get these bad boys working again.

It seems I checked and replaced the wrong fuse, they don't seem to be on the same circuit as the parking lights

I blew a 15A fuse by accident playing around trying to get the front clear marker to work (still doesn't work), replaced it and found another 10A fuse blown that I didn't know about. Replaced that and all of a sudden I've got DRL's and the little dinger that sounds when you don't have your seatbelt on.

Thanks for all the help!
