Ministry of Testing

I'm a bit new to this forum, but have been around the auto tuning world for many years. But I am trying to find out what if any products you guys are curious about. I am posting in this forum mainly because the test car will be my '90 Corolla GT-S (AE92, 4AGE). I have managed to secure some dyno time at work, as well as access to a few of our other facilities and am planning on testing a few different "gadgets" which have caught my eye of late. so far the list is as follows:

Ecotek CB-26P http://www.ecotekplc.com
Super eRam http://www.electricsupercharger.com
Tornado http://www.tornadoair.com

I think I have a few other products on the way, but I can't remember all of them off hand. I will also be testing a number of different spark plugs and ignition systems too.

If anyone happens to have anything else they would like to have added to the list, I will gladly do so (within reason, I am only planning one engine tear down and build up as the last stage, but bolt ons should be no problem).

my buddy had the ecotek plc in his 99 SiR, : no savings whatsoever. most of his driving is highway(150km to work and back + about 40km extra to go see his girlfriend in Scarboro after work), which is when the device is supposed to work at best. It now sits in a box in his garage, $600 down the drain if you ask me. maybe it did give him cleaner emissions, but the fuel savings claim was over rated.
the electric supercharger I've never heard of, but the Tornado I know has been getting a lot of bad reviews everywhere, and I think the company was getting sued at one point, for stating false claims like an X amount of HP increase when you never even got 1, etc.
How about testing adjustable cams, intakes, headers and exhausts or even some internal components, now those are proven HP increases.

In the long run thats what I will be doing. I have two exhaust setups which I will be testing, three intakes, but only one set of internals due to time constraints. Luckily this should only be the first set of numerous tests, thanks to the new equipment we got where I work.

I have read most the independant reviews on the products, but very few have actually shown any of the numbers. Thats one of the reasons I chose to start on them. Also, since I know alot of people now are not mechanics, I was more interested in low tech bolt ons - stuff anyone can put on.

With any luck for the next round I will have more time, and more cash to drop on the tests so I will be able to run different cams, pistons, and hopefully I will have a couple more cars to run my tests on. Right now though since the Corolla is also my commuter as well, I am a bit limited on how aggressive I will go on it.

P.S. - Although it is a bit off topic for a TN forum, I have a full file on my pickup engine (454 bored to 468, Supercharged, TPI injection, headers, dual exhaust) catalogging every upgrade with the dyno results as well.
