Canada Can AC retro fit into a 98 Rola? Interesting Buying one.

Saw a very low milage Rola for sale. Good Price, good color, and good wheels, and 5 speed too. But the onlything i lacks and required is an AC.

So am curious can it be retro fit? or should i better look for another one that with AC? That car is cheap man and really good for the buck, but i had heatstroke before... not risking it again

Yes it can and I think it isnt that hard to do on newer cars, my friend had a AC retrofitted to a late 90's yaris.

So you are saying the car comes with no AC or the car needs the AC recharged? If it comes without AC it is going to be a pain in the butt putting AC into the car. If it just needs recharged then you don't want to retro fit it because it already is an R134A system you just need to recharge the system. I would talk to the owner and make sure about the AC in the car because it is very odd for a 98 to come without AC in the car so just make sure it is without AC or if it just needs more freon in it.

Hi HotwheelHammer, yup, it has no factory AC.

I guess i'll pay more with another one with AC, that car is cheap, but not my favourite color anyway

What you need AC for?? you're only gonna use it for 2 months.. then its back to cranking the heat for 4months in the winter.

AC is still used in winter to defrost/defog the windshield.
