Canada gas mileage and the Toyota prius

anyone here own a toyota prius

our gas prices here in canada or over a $ a litre now, i have a 2005 corolla S
its good on gas but want something better

what your opinions

anyone have a prius or knowanyone with one

my grandparents have one and love it. I dont care for the looks of it but thats personal preference. I saw an article where a scientist toyed with it to where it gets 275mpg, not too shabby considering my old truck used to get 5mpg.

the reasson they dont mass produce is the govt wouldnt make money on the petroleum industry

hey man, my friends dad drives a prius, and he really likes that car. the only thing he complains about is the lack of power when its loaded down with four people and all their luggage, but that is to be expected of most fuel economy cars. btw, whats wrong with the 36-37 mpg you get from the corolla s ? but then again, it only seems good to me because my car doesnt get near that much. good luck with the purchase.
