tranny problem?

i'm looking to buy another ae86, haven't bought it yet or test drove it considering it's a 3 hour drive and i don't wanna drive 3 hours and find that it's a lemon and drive back.

guy who's selling it says that there's a buzzing noise when he steps on the gas that disappears most of the time after you let off the accelerator. a friend of his says it's the tranny, but the guy seems like a ricer and i'm pretty sure he doesn't know wtf he's talking about.

any idea on what that buzzing noise could be?

check your fan make sure theres nuthing in it or rubbing on it ,....like a zip ty or sumthing,or it could be your alternator they sumtimes do that
