AE86 AE86 for first car.

Anybody have an ae86 forsale? i was looking for one for a first car. Some of you might be thinking that i'm one of those teens who play Initial D and dont know crap about cars. But actually i've been around cars and know a lot about them. I just sold my 1980 BMW that had quite a number of mods on it. Anyways if i were to get one would the turbo motor out of a 1991 Toyota Supra fit in it? thanks

James

EDIT: My BMW is not sold yet because of a guy who was just looking.

You could fit a 2JZGTE or a 1JZGTE I think a 7MGTE has also been done.. in a few words.. lots of time, money and custom work.

Umm, was the BMW a truck or a bike?

It's an 1980 BMW 323i European Coupe. Maintanence is costing too much for the car so i am going to get rid of it soon. A regular Tune-up ( spark plugs, wires, caps, rotor, oil filiter, etc.) is about $300 is all bought original OEM parts. And BMW's need the OEM wires and plugs. so yeah. If anyone is interested Let me know and i'll give you the full 411.

If you have that BMW then an AE86 wouldn't be your first car then. I think that is what we are trying to get at.

if you think the bmw is bad. just to let you know depending on the condition of the AE86 it might cost more then the 1980 bmw maintanence cost.

but it all depends on condition and the engine you got. In reality if you are looking to getting it. Straight up it is a project car looking to put in some serious cash in it!

I would of kept the BMW.... Most of the AE86's are junkers, because they're already fairly old and they've been abused... rusted, mechanical problems, well.. good luck with it.

Heh... you want an AE86 as a "first car"... but doesn't owning a 1980 BMW disqualify the "first car" part? Hehe... ;]

Umm... the 7M could be fitted... but it's a tight fit... not to mention the 7M isn't exactly a super reliable engine. Those things are notorious for oil leaks and such... I'd rather just keep the 4AG... anyhow... I'll have mine for sale sometime in the next few months...

Just put in 4A 20v.
Any I6 conversion is gonna take a LOT of work.

You can get a 20v motor for like 500 bucks and then throw a grand at it in mods to make some crazy power at some crazy rpms.
Or just skip straight to a F/A motor.
I mean, Bunta did it

PS: Initial D is my other Bible.
I loves it so...
