There is lots people wll tell ya, but just slam it with some good strusts, and springs, and roll those fenders if ya got rims!!

I dropped my 97 corolla 3 inches all the way around, and the ride is outstanding!

for a 1988-91 corolla gts you can get spring kits as follows:

Apex - 1.7inch drop
Suspension Techniques - 1.6inch drop (or 1.5 i think)
Intrax - 1.7inch drop
Eibach - 1inch drop ($$$$ and not low enuff for me)
Ground Control Coilovers($$$$$) - up to 2.5inch(i think)

struts you can get from KYB or Tokico (I think Koni has some too)

I'm currently in the process of lowering my 89 GTS, i got KYB struts ready to go in, and I'm leaning towards either a set of Apex or Suspension Techniques springs. I wanted GC coilovers but like i said.. $$$$$

I got most of the part numbers for these springs and struts written down, so if you wanna go around and check out the prices in your area, let me know and I will tell you the exact manufacturer part numbers for them.. so you dont have to search around like I did.

and if someone told you that you can only lower it an inch, its probably because they wanted to sell you Eibach's, which are good but also $$$$$ hehehe..

I have my Apex springs at home, I used them for 6 months, then went with the GC, I'm not sure if they fit your Rolla, but find out, cause they are no use to me, and I will give them away for practically free.

yeah man.. Spectrabluecam has his winter beater AE92 riding on Suspension Techniques springs, and looks nice and clean(winter beater my @$$! his looks shinier than mine! :x hehehe..) Xenon has his riding on Apex springs and it also looks clean(plus 16inch wheels help ). I think I'm gonna be getting a set of Apex myself... but make sure you upgrade your struts too.. you don't want a wobbly ride, or a suspension that bottoms out.. with a 1.6 or 1.7 inch drop it will look dropped almost 2 inches after the springs settle down, and of course you WILL need a professional wheel alignment.. meaning by someone who knows about lowering cars, not just your average wheel alignment shop.
I got part numbers for KYB struts and for Tokico's too somewhere if you need them.

ST's have a rep for sagging.. I had ST's on my old 87 civic and the rear driver spring seem like it was lower than the passanger side one.. then again I was the only one in the car most of the time.. so that could explain that.. what you could do is... if you're the only one in the car most of the time, that would put more weight on the driver side.. so maybe every 6 months to a year, swap the springs from the passanger side to the driver side.. I was going to do that with my civic but I smashed it up .
From my point of view, any spring is gonna sag no matter what. it all depends on where most of the weight goes on the car.

If you're only getting springs, its not bad really depending on what condition your struts are in.. the OEM springs are probably softer than aftermarket ones, so you might bottom out on some bumps. make sure your springs are at least in good condition.. do they bounce a lot when you go over big bumps??, do you bottom out?, etc..

i just got done lowering it. It looks good but the frony has a bigger gag then the front. i think its cause the front wheel well is bigger. It doesn't look that good with a bigger gap in the fron t then the back. is there anything i can do to fix it? the back is nice and i would like the front to be the same way.

ahh ok.. try to keep an even weight on both sides so that one side doesnt sag more than the other, if not.. do like i said and get someone to swap the left springs to the right side, and viceversa in about 6months or so, so that they settle down evenly.

P.S. maybe your rear struts need to be changed.. the back should look a little lower than the front, but not too much. I've seen a couple of lowered coupes already, and the Apex seem to be more even than the ST's. but its not a big difference. you can tell if you look close.
