97 corolla = 45L tank right?

i ran out of gas 3 times in the last couple of years and everytime when i filled up to the top i get 40-42L, during normal weeks under 80% highway after 100km when the light comes on i end up at 550-600 and i still cant fill more then 40L of gas....

is this normal?

yeah that sounds ok to me.. I used to do about 450-500km per tank when I drove daily from Oshawa to Mississauga and back.

'93-'02 tank capacity is... 50 litres, 13.2 U.S. gallons, 11.0 Imperial gallons. The farthest I've travelled on a tank in my '93 1.8 5-speed is 401 miles (~645 km), and I drove for a LONG time with the light on, and when I filled up, it took on only 11.103 gallons (~42 litres). Most I've ever put in the tank was 11.680 gallons (~44 litres). I usually only end up going about 300 mi (~480 km) between fill ups because of my driving patterns (drive around all week, then take a ~650 mi round trip on the weekend, filling up before leaving each direction). If I've driven more than 20 miles since filling up, I will still top off before embarking on a long journey.
