Mirrors for 1987 fx16 GTS

Hey all, just a quick and possibly stupid question... (Apology in advance)

My 1987 FX16 GTS is in need of new power mirrors on both sides. The are really not too cheap. Is it possible to install manual mirrors to save some money?

Thanks in advance.

Of coarse, just that you won't have the mirrors with the slot design in them. I don't know where you are getting your used bits, but a pair of used power mirrors for a 1987 car should be less than $40-50 for the pair. Try a pick-a-part, and stay away from ebay dreamers who think they have the last parts in existence.....many wreckers won't sell mirrors off a good door, just look around, you'll find some. One thing is for sure, if you call around on the phone looking for mirrors at a wrecking yard, you'll find someboby that has them for about $100 each. But if you happen into a pick-a-part and find some, pull them off and take them to the front counter they'll probably cost $20 each. That's the way it works in the boneyard business man......

Its the same mirror so it'll work, you just won't have power mirrors.
