My Owner's Manual has the maximum speed that you can safely reach in each gear incase you need "maximum excelleration". Four 4th gear it's 112mph(179kph), which is funny because I have a 5-speed and the car is limmited to 110mph(176kph). Plus the stock tires are only rated for like 115mph(184kph). Still, it makes me think that if I had a long enough stretch and no limmiter then i could reach 130mph(208kph). What do you guys think?

BTW, my Over Drive(5th gear) is great. I am at 3000 RPMs at about 80mph(136kph) That translates to 38mpg at those speeds. I think if I drove the whole time in 4th gear my gas mileage would be severley affected, so I don't see how it's "overrated"

Also BTW what do Canadians call gas mileage? Gas Kilometerage? or just fuel economy?

-Chris

that's what i get on mine.. i usually travel around 120km/h on the 401 too, 120km/h at about 4000+ rpm
Fuel economy is not bad either.. i filled up on sunday nite and I need to fill up again today.. From Oshawa to the airport area and back, that's about 150km per day x 3 = 450km and I still have about an eight of a tank left, plus i put about 25km extra yesterday driving around. about 500km+ on a full tank I would say.

yes, mine is a GT-S
but the previous owner said he did a swap with the original engine with a JDM 4A-GE. I don't know if the JDM engine is good with the original setting of the car.[/quote]
