AE92 Rear Strut Replacement

Rear struts on my SR5 are pretty hurting, read somewhere on the forum that I can replace them with rear struts off of a GTS.

Is this b/c they're the same strut or is it some sort of an upgrade?

Is this a pretty easy procedure?

Thanks

think the rears are the same but the fronts are different... ive yet to replace them but im pretty sure on how i would go about it.. take off the rear console cover (speaker cover) whatever it is and you can see the strut bolts (3) once you get them you should be able to pull everything down from below

Both Gabriel and KYB list the same part # for the SR5 and GTS replacement shock...no difference.

Rears are the same on GTS and SR5

Fronts on GTS are serviceable cartridge while the SR5 is full strut

Haven't gotten around to this yet, but are the rears full assembly w/ shock/spring or will I need a spring compressor etc?

get some monroe sensa or tokico and new springs too. If you have the dough, get the full TRD Sportivo Shocks and Struts, guarantee 100% improvement on every level.
