AE101 engine. need help...

This is my first post on here. Just wondering if someone can help me out or at least tell me whats happening. I just bought a '92 Levin and when it idles it sounds a bit like a diesel truck. A friend of mine has said its just the throttle body but I'm not so sure.

Can someone please tell me what it is that's making the sound and if its anything to worry about? Also does anyone know how to shorten the clutch?? Mine's really long and sometimes it doesn't quite disengage.

Need to be more specific... Aussie-built Levin wagon, Levin GT-Z or Levin GT-Apex?

All three have different engines...

Check your headers. I recently discovered this problem and found that i had a 3cm crack in the pipe just below the oxygen sensor flange.
