PaceSetter Needs Toyotas for new product development
PaceSetter Performance Products, located in beautiful (but hot right now) Phoenix, AZ, needs Corollas to help us in expanding our coverage of affordable headers and MONZA Performance Exhaust Systems. We need 93-97's with both the 4AFE and 7AFE engines. And we need 98 and later Corollas for header and MONZA system development. We usually give the product that we develop to the individual who loaned his car. In other words, here's your chance for a free header or exhaust system, or BOTH! Please call me or email. The closer you are to Phoenix, the better. It'll take about two days for the header and one to two days for the exhaust systems. 602-266-1964, X-203. Thanks.

I know this isn't about the post that you are posting but what about making a header for an AE86 SR5 with a 4AC. I know the market is there for them just check out club4ag. There is someone just about everyday asking about a header for a 4ac motor in there AE86. It would be nice to have one out there for them.
I would love to let them use my car for free stuff but I am down in Georgia (USA)!! I know that Pacesetter is not the best in quality, but they are the only one that I know of that are even willing to make a header for the 4a-f, we have to give them some credit for that!! Now if Pacesetter will just listen to us and step up their research & delevement and use some better materials along with making some other products for the AE92 they may corner a small market!!

Although we appreciate the responses, we still need to locate someone close by willing to help. As far as qualtiy is concerned, all of our headers are now made at our plant in Phoenix. Quality problems are pretty much a thing of the past. But if you live in the rust belt and purchase mild steel headers (ours or anyone else's) and don't take care of them, they will rust. My advice is our ARMOR*Coat metallic ceramic coating, for future use.

^^So pace setter makes parts strictly for the people in the Lower United States I guess. My exhaust is probably 8 months old and needs to be replaced already..Definitly never buying another Pacesetter product.

What? Develope 93-97 when we're at 2005? Is that old news or they're retarded? In fact I believe it was old cause Pacesetter does have 7A-FE header for 93-97.
I also agree that Pacesetter deserves some credit for a relatively obscure application (at least in a performance sense). Not very many 4A-FE headers floating around out there, eh? As long as their products are improving, I'd say give 'em a shot. If someone offered to custom-engineer headers and exhaust for my car, I'd be thrilled, especially with a relatively short turnaround time. Heck, they could make them outta case-hardened cheese and I'd be stoked. But then again, you guys have no idea what it's like to be saddled with a 4A-LC, huh?

I had Pacesetter header in my 92 Corolla with 4A-FE. Mild steel painted 4-1 header. The paint got burnt off once the exhaust heat up. I know I was getting the economic version but at lease put high heat paint on it. It does add decent performance to the 4A-FE. Mine didn't crack. The header should have flex join instead of the ball join, it leaks.
Would like to see 4-2-1 header for Corolla and Celica. Any plan for newer models? Hope you don't wait 10 years to develope those.
Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm grateful the parts are there, but having to replace my exhaust already sucks..especially when I have very little moeny to begin with.

Pineapple: it's good to hear you had a good expirence with their 4A-FE header, I've been seriously considering getting one (but armor coated, damn Minnesota). It may be soon depending how school/work/life goes.
