Newb question. What corollas are RWD?

are all the gts and sr5 models RWD. Also I found an FX16 with a jdm Levin swap :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1864053261 that doesn't look like any corolla I've ever seen before, can someone explain. Thanks guys, and yeah it's true while I've though the RWD corollas were cool for some time now, I downloaded some Initial D and now I just want to know some more.

1984-1987 Corolla SR5 = RWD
1985-1987 Corolla GT-S = RWD
1988-1992 Corolla GT-S/SR5 = FWD
FX16 = FWD

some corollas made before the AE86 were RWD too, but i don't think thats your area of interest

whats wrong with initial d? a lot of ppl learn about the car at the first place by initial d, as long as you can separate the fact from fantasy i see nothing wrong with it

nah I'm not into buying an corrola gts just yet, I'm still hooked on the possibilities of my Gen2 Camry. Ahh. Intrax, Tokico, Whiteline, 3sge(maybe even a 3sgte?), I could go on all day long.

That is a really cool cartoon though. One question thoughm, the episode with the Civic HB they bring up left foot braking. Why is that such a huge suprise to everyone? I though he uses the toe heel technique. Doesn't that do the same thing as left foot braking except you can still play with the clutch pedal. If this is just a plot device showing how this one guy is so much better than everyone just say so.

its an auto? weak.

left foot braking as i understand it is a FWD technique. it allows the driver to have full throttle during a turn. basically what happens in a FWD you experience understeer (the car going but not turning), in order to keep that under control you tap the brake and it shifts some weight foward so you have more grip in the turn so you don't understeer.

in a RWD its kinda different. you can't exactly do that and have the same effect. most likely you'll oversteer (when the back end goes out, like a powerslide aka drift).

i'f i'm wrong correct me. always willing to learn.

left foot break technique

left foot break technique is also used often in MR ...
Due to the engine weight near the rear , after getting the weight forwad going into the corner, accelerating after the apex the weight can shift too far to the rear , using right foot on accelerator pressing the break with left foot breifly will slow front tires while rear tires still spinning fast and reduce understreer.... my dad was explaining this to me recently ^^

unfortunatly I still have never driven mid ship.......

speaking of midships have you guys seen this Tommy Kaira design ... called like ZZII or ZZIII cant remember.... its so light weight and has near 500HP and is all wheel drive mid-engine... my friend was showing me a photo he took of it parked out side of a restaurant in tokyo.... i think this car is pretty amazing...

Sweet picture.

yea i've heard about this car only in Gran turismo 3 though. i used it in the pro 4WD race. that car is one hell of a car. very nice. its basically a race car though. can't use it in any of the "normal car" races.

i never heard of the tech for MR but i guess it would work. i have not driven a MR myself. outside of Gt3 that is. that game is good.

99%

finished simulation mode. though i COULD win all golds on license test, but thats if i hated myself.

all i got left is the time trial in arcade. got like 5-6 races done on those. the ones i dont have done are: leguna seca ( i keep getting 00.000.020 off), taihiti maze, and complex string.

its really hard. so i buy cars and drift them out. don't have all the cars yet. dont really want all the cars. the only ones i like i already have. the FC and SS trueno.
