94 Corrolla Steering Problem

hiya,
got a 94 corolla executive and ive had the tracking done and tyres changed but still the car pulls by itself to the left. if i let go, the steering wheel is straight but the car pulls to the left. i have to keep the steering whell slightly pulled to the right.
what could it be?
thanks

Pardon the ignorance.. but what's tracking??

As for the wheel pull.. sounds like you need a wheel alignment.

Are you sure that the steering wheel is on straight? If you've had work done on things like radios or dash lights, the steering wheel should be removed in the process of taking the dash apart. It isn't unusual for one's first guess about how to put the wheel back to be wrong. (If you search for "steering wheel upsidedown" on the web you will find many instances of this complaint against auto shops.)

tracking is wheel alignment. also the steering wheel has not been removed. if you let go of the wheel on a straight road it goes to the left therefore the steering wheel being put on wrong has nothing to do with it.
thanks

Well, to grasp at straws, in the US we have the terminology "2 wheel alignment" and "4 wheel alignment" If you had all 4 wheels aligned by a good shop, they would probably have detected any suspension problems like a frozen ball joint , worn tie rod, bad CV joint. That would leave things like a misshapen tire or a brake dragging on one side. What does your tread wear look like? Is it even on all tires? When you stop, is the pull to one side noticeable?

I don't know what the symptoms of a bad differential would be. Has anyone had one of those problems?

Check your tyre pressure, suspect low pressure on the side it pulls to.

If that's not it, lift one side, Put your hands at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions and try to move the tyre. If the tyre moves without the steering wheel You need tie rod work, Although the shop you had the tracking done at should have told you if this was a problem.
