my 04 CE isgone gone gone

sold my 04 corolla...it was an decent car w/ a few quirks..the good made up for the bad.
I brought it back where I bought it new, and they bought it back form me. I had the car serviced there and took real good care of it. So sadly..I have parted w/ my corolla and will now drive my Subaru Forester, which is a good thing!

Good luck with the forester.. more power.. AWD! more money to fix when it breaks.

this is my 4th subie...they have been good cars to me. I have always found em very very reliable. We kept the subie for the room advantadge over thr rolla. Plus subie has way les miles then my rolla did.

If I ever went subaru.. I think I'd go for a WRX sedan or wagon though.. not a forester, they look way too squarish.

Just curious...............how many miles could you have put on your '04 Rolla???

And on a more serious note..............what was some of the problems you had w/ it??

I still think that currently, the Corolla (pound for pound, inch for inch, displacement for displacement) is the most efficient "car" out there, no??

well, I had 45,000 miles on it, and subie has 19,000.

These are a few things that went wrong w/ the rolla
1)starter replaced
2)battery replaced
3)dashboard/CD bezel/center console replaced
4)rear door rubber seals replaced
5)real real real loud brakes fixed 2x

that is the major stuff..a few other quiry things that you deal w/...all that stuff was covered under warranty.
I liked the car..especially w/ gas price the way they are, but the Forester just has the extra room in back I need.

I'm sure everyone will agree.. there's no replacement for JT vin numbered cars, I don't care how much quality control they got at NUMMI, KY or Cambridge, all the north american made vehicles are so problem ridden compared to Japan made cars. Main reason for this.. using the same parts suppliers that GM, Ford and Chrysler use.

My 2T... vin Corolla made at TMMC seems to be serving me well, except that the water pump leaked once and was replaced, couple plastic fasteners went loose, and being an auto, it's a bit lacking in 0-100...

Really, mine had not gone into the shop for any major mechanical failures.
