The Good Year Assurance Triple Treds are on!

First let me say the tires arrived in perfect condition..
Tire Rack has come through for the fifth time for me without a problem.
The tires were delivered to a Tire Rack recommended installer near my house in two days.
$80 for the install.

The GY Assurance Triple Treds are directional which provides better handling.
Haven't really tested them out as I just drove back from the install shop.
Seems like a nice tire.
The install shop guys were impressed with the tire design.
They said the Aqua III GY's tread was flat so when the tire worn down a bit water wouldn't be diverted away like when they were new.
These tires have a angled tread design or something so the tread will disperse water much longer.
I was told these tires will be better than now after about 500 miles.
They also said the price is very, very good at $77 per.

Yeah, I've seen those tires on alot of Minivans and elderly peoples cars...I really would like to know if they really do 'perform'. Congrats on the score though.

$80 US for install on all 4tires? hmmm.. go to another shop and see how much these tires would cost you there installed and out the door. I bet you could've saved some money there.

I think what Tirerack does is look for shops in people's areas and then pay them to do the job, Tirerack is a distributor also, so I wouldn't doubt this shop gets their tires from them.

Actually it was $76.32 with tax.
I live in the NYC metro area.
Nothing is cheap.

Like I said I haven't pushed them yet.
Did around 70 on the way home and they seemed pretty quiet.
It's the wife's car so I don't get to drive it much.
Will give a review at some time.
Probably after 500 miles.
The tire is said to perform better after 500 or so mileage.

I got the same tires on my Corolla. I paid $92 a tire, plus $10ea. to install at Discount tires.
There was a $50 rebate, I'm still waiting for to. I got 205/55/16.
These are great tires. My car brake, corners and handles so much better.
I have had these tires for a little over 1000 mile. They handle the rain like you were
on dry roads. Can't wait to see how well they handle in the snow.
They also have gotten quieter as they breakin.

The only problem I had was one bad tire. The car would pull to the right.
They replaced it and all is fine, they called it a belt or radial pull.
