Engine RPM on highway, 2005 Corolla Auto/Stick

I'm looking at buying a 2005 or 2006 Corolla and am interested in knowing what the engine rpm is on the highway at 60mph or even 80mph with an automatic, and also a 5 speed? Does anybody know?

That seems low! Can someone verify? RPM's should be somewhat linear with speed. If @ 60, it is 2500rpm, 80 should be 3300ish. That's not to bad if that's the case. Curious as to the difference on a 5spd. Would think it would be a bit lower?

TTT. Anybody else? Can someone take a look at the tach when driving on the highway? Prefer a 5speed.

I have a 2005 XRS and it revs very high on the freeway, 3300 rpms @ 70mph or 3900 @ 80. I still get 34 mpg, with the AC on though......

Can anybody else check this in a regular Corolla, not an XRS? The XRS has different ratios, etc.
