My 1990 corolla gts has a super long throw. The stick is really long and i think it makes me lose time. Is there thing i can do about it?

TRD short shifter kit, a toyota dealer should be able to get it.. but probably a bit pricey.

just take the one you have now, yank it out and cut off about half to an inch from the knob part to the botton linkage and have it welded back on. If u dont care so much as to do so just shift way faster, short shifters do the same thing so theres no harm either way.

No,

You cant just cut off some of the shifter and say its a short throw. You havent changed the throw at all. the throw is from the ball down. If you cut a bit off the top, the distance below the ball is still the same.

sorry i coudnt remember the word, by knob i meant ball.

And there is harm, just shifting really fast so be quick with the cluth or you'll grind, and i dont know if the corrola is like this but i remember with this tercel we working on theres a boot all the way up in the engine compartment and it ruptured cos of it changing size so fast and being old.
