when i had mine on the dyno it was putting out 82.35hp and 79.20ft-lbs of torque. the only mod that i had done then was a short-ram intake and running 91octane (stupid, i know but my dad said it was good for my car and i hadnt gone to automotive school yet)

The 4AFE and 7AFE motors have varying HP depending on years.. I know the newer years (96-97) had less HP than the older models due to emission restrictions.

The 1.6 4AFE is probably about 100hp

If your transmission is a 5 speed, the answer is "lots". If it's an auto, good question.

this is funny actually.. exhaust and intake would net you 5hp the most, so yeah I'm sure your car would handle that much extra power.

It's not like you're putting a turbo or a supercharger which will increase HP and torque to levels your motor and tranny wouldn't handle.

well actually its auto, and doesnt the cold air intake and headers give like 15? cuz i know the air intake gives like 7 and the headers possibly like 10 an ya im gonna put a turbo so thats why im also asking, the turbo gives 35% of the power so thats 35 hp so it would go up to like 150 and thats why im wondering, so if anybody knows well let me know l8ers

15 is a bit optimistic. most of us would estimate about 7-10.

Now a turbo will be able to add much more than 35 with proper tuning. The auto, on the other hand might not like it.

A turbo auto has the potential to be very very fast. The key is to have an engine/tranny that can take the power. A friend of mine had a 97 that wouldn't have made a 13 second pass if his engine didn't throw a rod. Mind you, he did thow a LOT of money at that tranny.

And no, the electric supercharger won't work.
