Headlight removal

I was at the CNE and I bought some xenon headlights for my 97 corolla (just the lowbeams, because the ones my parents had in their van died after 3 months and we had no headlights). So I put them in today, then started up the car and turned on the lights to see how it looked. As I was watching, the Right lightbulb exploded and there was smoek inside the headlight. So now there is all this broken glass inside the headlight unit. I put the stock bulb back in and its working fine. How do I remove the headlight unit so I can clean all the broken glass out? I looked around a little bit and couldn't figure it out, but I wasn't in the mood to really try it. Thanks!

on my 97 you have to take the corner marker light oput and then there are 2 nuts on the side of the head light. You also have ot take the grille out. did you touch the bulb with your fingers? The oil from your fingers could have made it explode!

Nope... didn't touch it... I was pretty meticulous with it. I couldn't figure how to get the corner light out... I took out the screw that is on the top of the headlight and is connected to the signal marker. Now I guess I just need to play around with it for a bit?

Pull forward, not towards the side!! A pin/peg is oriented along the car's length so you pull it forward.
