THESE LIGHT CONVERSIONS ARE ILLEGAL IN MOST STATES & PROVINCES, although I hear you can adjust them easily with a small ball pien hammer as I have done many a time.

The best lights for your car are what came with it when it was new. Period. If you want to have more light, I would suggest that you source a good pair of driving lamps to suit your needs. Do the research cause there are many beam patterns available. Leave the headlamps as Toyota designed them, and if you set your tires to the correct inflation, then find a shop with a proper headlight aiming device. Headlamps that are properly adjusted make a huge difference.

Damn you are one boring mother fucker, dirt666. Do you work for the government? If you don't, I feel sorry for you.

*edit* and I thought you already said you hate people with "driving lights." You contradict yourself like a fed too. You must be fed, or are a fed in training.

97Corolla, get an older model Acura Integra, or a Celica with similar lights if you really like them. If you have plastic lenses, clean them.

Better yet, just walk.

good advice Karugs....

And to you Cavi Mike...yes I do work for the government, and it is my job to keep all of the idoits who think they can do anything to their cars then drive on a public highway straight. So my advice to you is to not break the rules....and about the driving lights, a good set of aftermarket driving lights installed correctly and aimed correctly are awesome when used correctly. ie...in British Columbia and many other provinces/states the auxillary lights must be wired to only work when the headlamps are on dip beam, when hi beam is selected...the driving lights must turn off THAT'S THE LAW if you think you are above it the I suggest you keep an eye in the mirrorbecause I'll be watching for you.

97Corolla, adjust your lights properly. You should upgrade to different bulbs. Typically, Sylvania LL have low light output (they're designed to last long). Silverstars have been successful so far to others who used them.

A compromise would be Silvania XV lights, not as expensive as Silverstars but nice light output. I'd hate to see your wife driving such a car, let alone NOT see in the dark. I know you love your wife that much, and you want what's best for her. Stick with OEM lenses, adjust and aim properly, and swap some nice bulbs in them. Hate to say it, but OEM lenses are really not that good, especially US versions.

Off road solution would perhaps be to install high wattage bulbs. 80/100. Check your wiring and electricals before jumping in.

www.danielsternlighting.com will give you good instructions on aiming your lights.
