Winter Wheels for 05 Corolla

I'm looking for a set of winter wheels for my new snow tires. Does anybody know if the wheels off an older model fit the 05 Corolla? I want to get a set of 4 and some hubcaps, but they want a fortune for these wheels from the dealer. Even a wrecker wants a fortune, so I was hoping to get some off an older model if possible. Thank you.

your stock size should be a 15 or 16 inch. goto your local tire/wheel emporuim for good pricing, the dealers will rip you off.

for your model of corolla, you can use any corolla that is your generation. that shares the bolt pattern 5x100. you can use MATRIX and CELICA wheels, as for tires, i think matrix shares the same tire size but not the celica.

195.65.15 should be your size with a 15x6.5 and a 5x100. you can go wider or skinner on the wheels if you want. it dont matter. 15x7 or 15x6 is fine.

wait until end of oct for good pricing. thats when the earlier bird specials creep up.

But apparently they're priced through the roof, a tire shop told me. But what can beat a set of WR?

do you have new rims? Why don't you just put better tires on the stock wheels or use your stock wheels/tires for winter?

**i know the stock tires suck***

Actually this is for my sister. She already took her 0 miles 05 Corolla staight to the tire shop & got rid of the crap Goodyear Invicta's and put a set of Toyo's on. She also bought a set of 4 winters, she justs needs the wheels. She had thought about putting the winters on the Toyota Alloys and getting a tire/wheel package for summer driving but I told her that she is better off with steel wheels for the winter in the Okanagan cause in Canada they use a salt/sand mixture on icy roads and its just too much to keep up with cleaning the wheels constantly. Plus I know she "parks by tire feel" and that is not a good thing for custom wheels.
