Aftermarket radio into 1988 FX

Hey guys, I need help from some fellow tuners. I'm an RX-7 guy, but my bro needs help with his beaner-mobile (really, its because he's just a beaner)

He bought a 1988 Corolla FX 2-door hatch and his father had a Blaupunkt ACD2900 cd player buried in their garage that he now wants to put in. I'm unfamiliar with both of these (being an RX-7 and Nakamichi audio guy) but if I had the info I would be able to do it for him so we can drive around and not listen to "when the engine might go" After all, his car is better on gas.

Thanks guys.

Easiest way.. if the OEM stereo has never been changed in that car, go out to an Auto parts store and buy a Toyota stereo wiring harness, then all you do is match the wires from the aftermarket unit to the ones in the harness (it comes with a book to tell you which wire is which) then you unplug the harness from the back of the OEM stereo and plug it to the one you wired to the aftermarket unit and that's it. Installing the radio itself will probably be more work than wiring it.

This is what they look like.
