hey guys, im just wondering if you guys experience any swarving on the highway on your corolla? my 94 dx is about 2300-2400 lbs, and when i drive it on the highway, and its a little windy out, my car would tend to swarv from side to side and the steering wheel becomes a little light and harder to control. Is anybody else experiencing this on their light weight car as well? OR does weight matter when traveling on the highway at high speeds? and one more question, which would you rather have, a car that weights 2000 lbs and has around 200 hp, or a car that weights 3000 lbs and has about 300 hp?
My car for some reason has the rear slide out more often then it should aswell as it wandering on the highway a bit. so I might buy a big aluminum wing for ym 1990 corolla.

Let me just correct the above statements. If you're on the highway and there's NO wind and you feel that floating sensation then it's indeed worn struts. But if there's wind, it's normal to feel that swerving. Even new Corollas I saw alongside me were swerving left and right (slightly, within their respective lanes).
My car doesn't do any of these things... probably cuz of lowered suspension and better struts though. It does feel different in windy situations, but not as bad though.

Yeah mines jsut in the wind it wobbles, but It does oversteer a bit mroe thne I'd like (I'm probably a horrible driver) but I really wanna jsutify to ymself a CF wing.

i hear that some sort of strut bar across the front is supposed to help with that.....is there anything that I can do OTHER than the struts....cause thats kinda expensive
nope, wont help with floating. Like said... you will need a lower suspension, tighter shocks, or even a rear spoiler. the strut brace will only help during cornering.
Got a 4af manual that is light as shit, probally cause of the rust too. The thing is all over the place on the highway, pretty much only when there is wind, dosen't help that my alignment is off as well, steering wheel is like 1/3 to my left, not fun. I love my little rolla though.
