Camry guy needs corolla info :P

Howdy all,

I just had an inquiry, i have a gen 2 camry that i'm using to drive around, and want to buy a gen 3 corolla 75-78 coupe as a project car, as my grandmother used to have one and they rocked.

But when i looked up info on them, it was ment to have a 1.6 engine in it :S, but my dad said that here they only had 1.2 , so i was thinking the american version of the car could have been more powerful and the australian one weaker.

So if it is true and the ozzie car is weaker i wanna know if an american engine would bolt right in? it would be great to have the same power as most of the ozzie cars of the same year.
