Fog Light Covers on 2005 CE/LE

Does anyone know how the standard fog light covers are held in place? I'm thinking about removing them and/or installing some lights pretty soon, it seems as if they can be yanked off pretty easily...but I've got a feeling its more complex than that..any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Nope, it isn't much more complicated than that. They fall out onto the road all the time and the dealership knows about it enough that it's covered under warranty if they do. You can pretty much give it a push / yank / tug and look around to make sure you don't hurt any plastic clips holding it in place. I drive an 05 S with factory fogs, so I can't tell you exactly what you're looking for, but I've heard the story many times before.

Ah I see...I've checked them out before and they wobble and shift around in the foglight space quite a bit. The covers are such a bland stock option that I'm willing to go as far as removing them, just to see how it would impact the appearance..if at all. Thanks for the ultra fast help

Another option for temporary sakes before you put in fogs is you can take them out and have them painted to match your car. The Camry comes like that and it looks a lot sleeker than just the black on random color of car.

True..didn't think of that. Atleast now I know there are some options out there to contemplate. The camry does look pretty clean white the white covers too. I'm gonna be eliminating the door molds this weekend so it'll prob be best to see how it looks afterwards w/the black covers still in place. Thanks again.
