sticky windows in 1993 corolla

My 1993 corolla car windows (manual) are very hard to roll up. But rolling down isnt that hard. Can any one tell me what might be the problem. Will the use of white grease solve this problem? If so where should I spray it.

Also when it rains i can roll up the windows with less effort.

Nowhere, it will just mess the glass. Take the doorpanel off and put some grease on the lift mechanism. Otherwise just live with it.
