Best way to remove/reinstall an A/C vent????

Best way to remove / reinstall an A/C vent??

I picked up a new one & I really just kinda' "screwdrivered" it outta the junkyard car, but would like to be a bit more methodical with my own car.

When I *did* get the vent to move on the junkyard car, I actually ended up flopping it faced completely down. Then it kind of "slid" under the hinge points of the vent cavity itself. I think it'll be easier to install the new one since one side of the vent even has a small removable piece that's not a perfect circle. It's more like an open-ended circle so I should be able to just push it into place.....(I think)

Anyway..........any advice from someone who's already done this would be appreciated. Would rather not booger up the dash pullin' the old vent out. (Can't wait to get the new one in & actually direct air off my right eyeball........LOL!!!!

probably same thing.. except use the screwdriver on the sides where the pivot points are, and just be more careful.
