quick help, oil filter

hey guys, i need ur quick help, i need to get this oil filter on tonight, sigh, for oil filters, does "lefty losey and right tighty" still remains? do i turn it to the right to tighten it and left to loosen it? help, i turned it left and nothing so far

You bet it does! Just make sure it's the right filter (compare it to the old one). the hole should eyeball the same size and the gasket diameter be the same by eye, even if the total outside diameter of the canister is different (rarely). Usually, contact plus 3/4turnis the right tightness...On my 2005 corolla S, since it sits straight up, I filled it with oil before installation so the engine had a shot on start up. Good luck!

Dont forget to put some oil into the filter before fixing it.And rub some oil over the new gasket.
