That's why I dont let other people work on my car.
Im afraid your freind is having the wool pulled over his eyes.
Swapping a GZE into pretty much any Corolla is a pretty common swap. The rarity depends on exactly what car it is.
It should not take 8 months. That is 100% ridiculous.

maybe rare in comparison to the number of Corollas out there. Or swapped Hondas. 8 months is a farce. When my brother had his done it was in and out within a week.

This should've taken a couple of weeks, what car is this swap being done to? this is what happens when you let Toyota noobs do the swap. They've probably done Honda swaps before and they figured a Toyota swap would be just as easy.

that's an AE101, that swap should've been done in like 2-3weeks max. There's a few people who have done this swap into the AE101 Corollas on here. VooDoo who posted earlier on this topic has the same motor.

I'd tell your friend to take his car away from these noobs and take it to someone who knows about Toyotas a little more.

get on www.mr2oc.com and start searching around. a 4agze swap is MORE than common in aw11's.... i'm sure there's at least 4-5 guys in your state who have done the swap and could help.
