Someone broke into my car last night!!! I got in my car this morning still half asleep because I was going to work early to help out and notcied that my windows we not foggy like they had been for the last couple of days when looked at th passenger side and noticed that the GLASS WAS IN MY PASSENGER SEAT!! I jumped out and looked for anything that was missing, luckily (Thank you Jesus!) nothing was missing. So I called my dad (His 2001 4 Runner just got keyed down the driver's side for total repair cost of $2,600) to see if I should call the insurance company and wait for a week while they give me the run around about fixing it or just have the company that works with the dealERship I work at fix it tomorrow? What do you guys think? I am so pissed and happy at the same time because they could have just taken the car instaed of just breaking the glass!!!

yeah, that sucks, my brother's car got jacked too, but they found it in an alley, you should buy a car alarm, i dont think they cost that much, around $100, thats not too bad, you're lucky man, ur car was still there
If nothing was missing, chances are there could of been tension in the glass that caused it to "explode". Its happened to few audis/vw's and I know few toyotas that had it happen too.
I went ahead a just paid $160 to have the window fix!! Well I found out what they took........My CDs......All of them!! I didn't notice until I wanted to listen to some music on the way home and looked at the sun visor and noticed there were no CDs there!! I would have given them the damn CDs instead of spending $160 on the new glass!!

I had dope heads bash my window out to steal whatever they could find inside once. they only got a few nicknacks out of my glovebox was all. they were just looking for whatever they could find to pawn off for some drugs.
Your situation reminds me of when my dad had his 1990 corolla wagon broken into not too long ago. All they took was his cd wallet and his entire ash tray because he kept his loose change there.
Sorry again, may someone find those bastards and give them a good

When my rolla was broken into, all they did was destroy the trunk lock, door locks, and rear seat. They were looking for a subwoofer that I didn't have, since they had gotten into my sisters Bronco and stolen hers.
I ordered an alarm today! I didn't have very meny choices since my car doesn't have power locks. I went with a K-9 Classic with optional engine immobilizer and when I go have it installed I may have them put in a shock sensor as well. Not only will I have an alarm in the car, but I believe I get a discount with my insurance for having the alarm.

last time my rolla was broken into, they broke the small quarter panel glass on the rear passenger door and reached in to unlock the door, then unlocked the front passenger door. they then stole all my cds from the side panel on the drivers door and my cds from my sun visor.
No, I paid $160 for the glass, installation and a warranty on the workmanship. I didn't even think to go to the junk yard and I would not have had time to go to the junkyard until Saturday plus I wanted it fixed that day.
