A/C Economy for '02 - '04 Corolla and Camry '99 - onwards
When its not too hot, you can save on gas and maintain engine power when using A/C.
Just do the following;
1. Turn "OFF" A/C Switch. (Green light should be off)
2. Set your A/C fan diverter knob switch to defog
(air will come out from dashboard glass defogger and side vent only)
3. Set the air vent to "Recirculate Inside Air" (shut the air coming in).
4. Turn thermostat to maximum cool.
You can will notice that at the above setting you will still get cool air as if you A/C Switch is on.
You can also try doing it with other vehicles. Our Kia Sedona Van blow cool air with the same setting.
